Remy Cointreau is a French business group with origins dating back to 1724. It has a presence in 100+ countries in the world. Some of its brands are: Louis XIII, Rémy martín,Cointreau, Metaxa, Mount Gay, The botanist, etc.
Currently, restaurants use pdfs, which are hard to use (for the final user and for the bar/restaurants when was necessary to edit the menu) and portray on different devices. The designs were thought to find information within 3 clicks. To improve the experience of restaurants, the website allows for editing the information in the menus easily without affecting the final user’s experience. Also, the menus are customizable so the menu will follow the restaurant’s brand guideline. All these give a plus to the restaurant, which will be well represented and for the users,who will have a menu easy to navigate.
The development was challenging because the most important requests that the client made were the creation of different roles, menus to be customizable for each client, and databases. The roles allow the restaurants to provide access to all restaurants or just a branch.
For the customizable menu, the menu needed to well represent the restaurants’ brands. However, our expert team could make it work seamlessly, and both roles and brands achieved the expectations. The databases were the most significant challenge because the ingredients of the menus could have several names in different countries, so we created a database that.
This architecture was built based on the 6 pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework: Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability.All this gave the basis to have excellent load speed, performance, and reduced operational fees.
